The just ended International Exhibition for Enterprises and Partnerships dubbed, PROMOTE, in Yaounde witnessed the remarkable participation of ANTIC. The Agency used the one week business fair that ran from 11-19 February 2017 to market its services and sensitise more Cameroonians on best cyber security practices. Over 1200 visitors to the stand were schooled on the safe usage of the social media, online accounts, tips on how to avoid falling prey to cybercriminals and the need to refrain from using obsolete and unlicensed software like Windows Xp. Experiences were also shared with other institutions with some expressing the desire to get into partnership with ANTIC.

On a visit to the Agency's stand, ANTIC's Director General, Dr. Ebot Ebot Enaw, congratulated the staff and underscored the Agency's resolve to continue improving on the security of Cameroon's cyberspace, which plays a pivotal role in the development of the country's nascent digital economy.

Each visitor to the stand went home with a catalogue of Internet User Safety Guides while some sixty visitors were happy winners of attractive prizes following a quiz on ICTs.

It is worth noting that PROMOTE is a platform that brings together enterprises and start-ups to share success stories and source new avenues for partnerships. The next edition has been programmed for 2019.
