Organised by the International Telecommunications Union, ITU, 10-13 September 2018 at the International Convention Centre, ICC Durban - South Africa, the annual event which has convened countries, companies, small and medium enterprises, organisations and associations has offered a unique opportunity to ANTIC to share with ICT stakeholders Cameroon's cyber security experience and best practices in advancing the fight against cyber crime.
Grouped under the Cameroon country pavilion with other national ICT stakeholders, ANTIC through a video documentary and other complimentary information gadgets distributed to visitors to its stand, is showcasing activities the agency is carrying out to secure Cameroon's cyberspace.
Key personalities from government ministries and diverse organisations are visiting the Agency’s stand and seeking information about its missions and avenues for cooperation.
Besides the exhibitions staged by over 200 exhibitors, ITU Telecom World 2018, taking place under the theme: “Innovation for smarter Digital Development” also provides a forum for the ICT global community to debate and chart the way forward on some issues that border on growing the digital economy, collaborative regulation, investment in ICTs, expansion of access to technology.
At the fringes of the close to 40 forum sessions at the event, ANTIC's delegation under the directives of the Director General, Dr Ebot Ebot Enaw, is networking with participants seeking partnership and investment opportunities in Cameroon's ICT sector.
ITU Telecom World is an annual “unique international platform for influential figures from government and industry to connect with start-ups and digital entrepreneurs in the ICT sector, to exhibit and explore partnership solutions, investment opportunities, share ideas and best practices.”
